The members in Swedish-Finnish jazz quartet Lexingtone are some of the most appreciated and respected musicians in Scandinavia. In more than a decade they have been touring the world and recorded with groups and artists such as First Aid Kit, Ariana Grande, Bo Kaspers Orkester, Anders Hagberg Quartet, Big Street MP, Tommy Körberg and Bohuslän Big Band.
They have also toured with several jazz groups in their own name and achieved big success on the Scandinavian jazz scene. Among these, the Blue Note and CAM Jazz recording group Joona Toivanen Trio, a Finnish Grammy awards nominee and the winner of the prestigious prize Teosto in Finland.
In Lexingtone these four musicians merge to one of the most exciting and coveted jazz groups of today. They play original compositions influenced by the 1960s New York jazz scene and their music can be described as groovy and genuine hardbop with strong melodies and tight interplay.

Istanbul born drummer Robert Mehmet Ikiz has toured and held workshops in more than 40 countries. Nils Landgren Funk Unit, Joe Sample, Bobby McFerrin, Barbara Hendricks, Ivan Lins, BBC Orchestra, NDR Big Band are some of the artists, bands and orchestras he has toured with.
Ikiz is based in Stockholm/Sweden and has received 3 awards from the Swedish Royal Music Academy. His first solo album was released 2012 and features magnificent musicians like Shai Maestro, Magnus Lindgren, China Moses, Nils Landgren, Joel Holmes & many more.
Zoetic Sessions was released in Sweden in June 2015 and is co produced by Robin Bennich

Swedish born, New York based bass player Lars Ekman is an integral part of today's music scene. Mr Ekman, born and raised in Stockholm, Sweden spent the first years of his career on the thriving Swedish jazz scene, playing with highly respected European musicians as Magnus Lindgren, Bernt Rosengren and Elisabeth Kontomanou as well as in the successful Nina Ramsby Ludvig Berghe Trio.
To further develop his music, Mr Ekman was fortunate to spend an increasing part of time in New York City towards the end of the decade. Eventually, in early 2013 Ekman found himself permanently living and performing daily in the city's different music venues such as Small's, 55 Bar and Fat Cat along with some of the city's top musicians.
Not only an acoustic bass player, you will also find Mr Ekman playing electric bass in various settings and styles. He has also been writing arrangements for everything from French chansons to modern pop and rock.
Mr Ekman has recorded over 30 albums as a sideman and in 2008 he recorded his debut album Introducing Lars Ekman and released it on Stockholm Jazz Records to critical acclaim.

Klas Toresson was musically raised in Sandviken, a small Swedish town with a reputation for producing great jazz musicians.
Following his studies at the Royal Academy of Music in Stockholm, Klas has worked exclusively as a saxophone and woodwind player. He is widely known and appreciated for his sound and versatility. He is the first to call when you need a soulful player who can fire up any rhythm section. Klas has a presence that shines through in any musical context. In addition to his own trio and quartet he has worked with among many others: Peter Asplund, Claes Janson, Glenn Miller Orchestra and Kustbandet.
